Barneveld Our only chemical plant in the Netherlands where around 50 specialists create key raw materials for the flavour industry using advanced chemical processes.
Ede The birthplace of our natural cheese flavours and fonds crafted by 80 dedicated experts as savoury building blocks for soups sauces and so much more.

Production Improvement Coordinator

Job Purpose

Coordinates and leads production improvement project(s) of varying complexity and size in the Liquids & Powders factory. Partners with department and business stakeholders to improve department performance on Safety Quality and Efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Coordination of Improvement Projects

  • Initiate & coordinate improvement initiatives on Safety Quality and Efficiency
  • Use and collect data to identify new improvements
  • Work with appropriate teams to implement initiatives; Collecting feedback from team members and other project users to gauge satisfaction and success
  • Track and report progress to key stakeholders
  • Communicate lessons learned and share best practices across department and site
  • Sustain improvements

Quality

  • Coordinate the investigation and follow-up of the factories internal and external quality deviations.
  • Coordinate the factories training program

Continuous Improvement

  • Train/coach department on Lean and Manufacturing (GPS) principles to close capability gaps and
    promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Challenge existing processes/practices and coach department in applying effective problem solving
    to develop solutions and initiate change.
  • Identify and quantify improvement opportunities proactively together with department
    and use the best tools/methods from the CI toolbox to develop solutions and execute these.
  • Leverage internal and external networks to capture and eventually deploy manufacturing and LEAN
    best practices within the organization.

Audits

  • Coordinate follow-up of audit requirement and completion of action items as a result of audits
  • Lead efforts to prepare the department for future audits

Academic Background

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field

Professional experience

  • Several years of experience in Operations Manufacturing Supply Chain.

Technical Skills

  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification/experience is a plus
  • Good command in stakeholder management and communications
  • Problem solving certification/experience is a plus
