Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your CAD design expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

Youll play a vital role in designing and drafting railway track alignments and associated infrastructure contributing to the development of innovative and efficient railway systems. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business including alignment engineers civil designers and BIM teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency and much more.

Youll specifically take care of preparing detailed CAD drawings for horizontal and vertical track alignments cross-sections and long sections but also assist in preparing quantity take-offs and bill of materials from CAD models.

Well look to you for:

• Preparing detailed CAD drawings for horizontal and vertical track alignments cross-sections and long sections

• Developing plan and profile sheets typical sections and turnout layouts using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation)

• Collaborating on the production of Basic Design documents including general arrangements technical specifications assemblies and parts

• Delivering Detailed Design Installation Design and As-Built drawings

• Contributing to the codification of engineering documentation and configuration & change management processes

• Participating in tools development and updates

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Drafting or a related field

• 27 years of experience in CAD drafting for railway or infrastructure projects

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation

• Familiarity with railway alignment geometry and design standards (e.g. Indian Railways UIC AREMA)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to view constraints in three dimensions especially civil work constraints
