Position Overview
Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for performing various cleaning functions/services throughout the Hospital campus; understanding and following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade 10.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to read write speak and understand English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact well with others.
- Good interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to adapt readily to stressful situations.
- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk stand bend twist lift and reach continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs./12 kgs.
