The role

You will be part of a dynamic national team and will be responsible for the provision of complex advice to private and public sector clients on a diverse range of exciting commercial taxation and insolvency disputes.

This role is ideal for a practitioner looking to take the next step towards developing their own client base in conjunction with the broader teams existing client base. You will have support from the Principals and your colleagues to hone your business development skills and to build your practice.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of dispute resolution and insolvency matters from start to finish including conducting research drafting pleadings and submissions attending court and negotiating settlements.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on various disputes and insolvency matters including bankruptcy liquidation receivership and insolvency litigation.
  • Work collaboratively with clients partners and other team members to develop and implement effective strategies to resolve disputes and insolvency matters.
  • Assist in the development and training of junior team members.

Role Requirements

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • 3 years post admission experience.
  • Previous experience working in disputes and /or insolvency.
  • Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills this role will require the successful applicant to appear at Court on a regular basis.
  • A high level of attention to detail and technical excellence.
  • High-level problem-solving skills and an ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • A desire to learn and develop your skills.
  • Ability and willingness to develop your own network and actively participate in marketing and business development activities.
