Job Title: RN Ambulatory
Location: Syracuse NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (MondayFriday)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join an ambulatory care team in a dynamic outpatient setting. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care assist physicians and provide clinical support in accordance with professional nursing standards. Candidates should have prior ambulatory urgent care or pediatric experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Provide patient-centered care within an ambulatory or outpatient clinic environment.
Perform nursing assessments administer medications and assist with clinical procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Monitor and document patient progress accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans medications and follow-up care.
Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Triage and respond to patient needs promptly and professionally.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Qualifications
Active RN License in the State of New York (unrestricted).
Minimum 1.5 years of recent nursing experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
BLS (AHA) certification required; ability to maintain certification during assignment.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
Ambulatory urgent care or pediatric experience strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass pre-employment health clearance background check and drug screening.
Additional Information
Shift: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Duration: 14-week contract with potential for extension.
Limited orientation provided; candidates must demonstrate strong clinical independence.
