Job Summary

Full-time 40 hr/wk Rotating shift

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is 420 bed teaching hospital trauma center neonatal intensive care unit geriatrics center and is home to theJohns Hopkins Burn Center the only adult burn trauma in Maryland. The Sterile Processing Tech inspects cleans assembles and sterilizes surgical instrument sets. Operates cleaning and sterilization equipment in order to clean instruments and supplies. Prepare supplies and equipment for steam sterilization and low temperature sterilization.
Minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) certification
- Minimum one year instrument processing experience required at a proficient level in all areas to include sterilization and set assembly
Salary Range: Minimum 22.41/hour - Maximum 26.22/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
