Temporary Teacher Chemistry-Wilsonville High School

This is a temporary teacher position.

Position Description:

Create a vibrant learning community for students in high school chemistry courses. Educate the whole child intellectually emotionally and physically. Plan instructional needs of all children using a constructivist approach to teaching and learning; implement a variety of assessments; establish good relations with parents students and staff; attend all pertinent faculty parent and school meetings; other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

• Planning for the instructional needs of all students; Attending to the special needs of students; Teaching high expectations for student achievement and behavior;
• Implementing state and district curriculum; Providing instruction that promotes all skill development knowledge and reasoning;
• Using a variety of assessments to inform instruction; Creating an environment that maximizes student learningwith a focus on character development;
• Developing partnerships that enhance student learning;
• Modeling and teaching a growth mindset;
• Providing culturally responsive instruction;
• Modeling and teaching respect with an awareness of diversity; Demonstrating continuous professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of best practices in teaching;
• Masters Degree preferred;
• Oregon teaching license in assigned area(s) and proper endorsements;
