Job Summary
Project Manager Civil Works
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major civil/mining project. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project execution to ensure safe efficient and compliant delivery in line with client and contractual requirements.
About the Role
As Project Manager you will take ownership of the project from planning through to completion leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating resources to achieve key milestones. You will work closely with internal departments subcontractors and external stakeholders to manage priorities mitigate risks and maintain strong commercial and operational performance.
This role requires a proactive and highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on safety quality and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of civil construction works across all stages of the project lifecycle
- Coordinate project activities including earthworks drainage materials handling and other civil disciplines
- Ensure the project is delivered within scope budget and schedule
- Monitor progress manage risks and issues and drive timely resolutions
- Maintain clear communication with clients subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all safety environmental and quality management standards
- Provide leadership to the project team fostering a high-performance culture
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
What You Will Bring
- 35 years of experience in project management within civil construction or mining infrastructure
- Proven ability to manage contract-based civil projects ideally in remote or large-scale environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial acumen including experience with budgeting reporting and forecasting
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities in dynamic conditions
- Relevant supervisory or statutory training and certifications (e.g. Section 26 or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of HSE principles and their application in construction environments
