The IT Plant Systems Intern provides technical support to plant partners on computing equipment and peripherals enabling partners to perform their functions more effectively accurately and efficiently. The intern works under the direction of an IT Plant Systems Analyst or Manager gaining hands-on experience in IT support and process improvement within a manufacturing environment.
This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of pay: $18.75
This internship is 100% on-site (Monday-Friday) located at our Stephenville plant in Stephenville TX.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Support partners with hardware phone and IT-related issues.
Diagnose repair install and upgrade IT-supported software and hardware.
Maintain communication with partners during issue resolution.
Take ownership of partner requests and follow-up resolution.
Assist with rollout of new processes software and/or hardware.
Trend Analysis & Root Cause
Identify and address trends in support issues.
Document evaluate options and make recommendations.
Focus on proactive support and continuous improvement.
Partner Engagement & Communication
Understand customer needs and requirements.
Maintain clear communication during the resolution process.
Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships.
Education & Personal Growth
Participate in education personal growth and cross-training opportunities.
Learn to document and communicate technical concepts.
FOOD SAFETY FUNCTIONS :Together with the leadership team ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
Education: Bachelors
Field: Computer Science MIS Business Administration or related field
Experience
Pursuing Associates or Bachelors degree in IT or related field (Sophomore or Junior status)
Exposure to computer support of hardware preferred.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required).
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Excellent customer service and a positive solution-oriented attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Strong initiative high energy and results driven
For positions that require any amount of travel: Valid drivers license auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required) acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
