Are you an experienced Year 1 Teacher looking for a rewarding Part-Time role from January 2026 A supportive Slough primary is recruiting a Year 1 Teacher to join the KS1 team on a Part-Time basis. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be included in phase planning before January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher.
The role
This Part-Time Year 1 Teacher will lead phonics sessions deliver engaging literacy and maths lessons and design language-rich continuous provision. The Year 1 Teacher will focus on high-impact teaching during contact time and will participate in core CPD days from January 2026. The Year 1 Teacher will work alongside experienced teaching assistants and will take responsibility for assessment and reporting at termly review points.
Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 1 Teacher will plan differentiated lessons run small-group interventions and liaise with parents. The Year 1 Teacher will maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to moderation and transition tasks. The Year 1 Teacher will prepare for the January 2026 induction and will begin teaching from January 2026.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We seek a Year 1 Teacher with QTS confident KS1 practice and strong behaviour management. The Year 1 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026 induction in January 2026 and to start in post from January 2026 in a Part-Time capacity.
