What You Will Do:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor in Bridgeport this role youll support a dedicated team of employees by planning and coordinating activities to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration with other departments. Youll help team members stay on track by providing the necessary training and keeping their training records up to date. Additionally youll oversee all EH&S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities while performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks to assist the Line Manager. Youll also serve as the key liaison with P&WC and our valued customers. This position will work on our 4th shift which is Friday-Sunday from 5am-5pm. You will train on 1st shift for up to 6 months before moving to 4th shift.

Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAAs regulation 14 CFR part 120 as well as 49 CFR part 40

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist subordinates in solving unusual problems such as scheduling interpreting complicated instructions specification drawings service bulletins engineering changes use of new and specialized equipment/tooling and reviewing recommendations of subordinates and approve or offer alternative solutions.

• Plan and carry out employee engagement action items for the department (as applicable). Take a lead in regard to coaching and mentoring employees to ensure their personal and professional successes are realized.

• At times may be responsible for the supervision of other areas of the shop during the absence of peer supervisors.

• Successful candidate must possess proven leadership interpersonal customer relation skills and the ability to create an atmosphere of teamwork. Must be self-motivated and high-energy with the initiative to direct and strong communication skills and a proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.

• Proven leadership using motivation and empowerment to instill cooperation and respect from his/her coworkers.

• Experience with MS Office and SAP.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with knowledge of operational experience OR an associates degree with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of 6 years relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques shop practices product / processes technologies and procedures.

• FAA Powerplant Certificate

• Ability to travel 10% of your time

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good team player and process a can do attitude.

• Proven flexibility / adaptability in high stress ambiguous environments.

• Proven ability to plan and prioritize.

• Working knowledge of product / process technologies.

This role is:

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
