The Role

Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for design Knak is seeking a Product Designer to join our dynamic and expanding design team. As a key player in shaping the future of email marketing youll work on a leading platform renowned for its best-in-class user experience. Youll play a pivotal role in leading our product growth as we venture into campaign generation using generative AI. Collaborating with cross-functional teams youll conduct research analyze data and derive insights from our valued customers and end-users to develop features they love. Your creativity attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in driving Knaks success and delighting our customers.

Responsibilities

Design and Collaborate on Features:

• Team up with product managers and engineers to define and prioritize features based on user needs market trends and business goals.
• Strong analytical thinker capable of breaking down complex problems into manageable actionable components that deliver value incrementally.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of web standards especially HTML and CSS and how they impact web accessibility.
• Craft high-fidelity design mockups interactive prototypes and user interface specifications to bring your vision to life.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and are user-friendly.
• Provide design expertise and support in agile development processes including sprint planning and user testing.

Research and UX Vision:

• Facilitate continuous discovery methods such as user interviews creating user-journeys opportunity exploration
• Plan and conduct user research including usability testing surveys and interviews to understand user behavior and needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and align UX strategies turning insights into actionable design improvements.
• Champion user-centered design methods and foster a deep understanding of user needs throughout Knak.
• Lead design workshops critiques and story-mapping sessions to spark innovative solutions.

Build a Scalable Design System:

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system for Knaks email marketing platform.
• Define and document design principles components patterns and guidelines to ensure consistent and delightful user experiences.
• Work with product managers and engineers to integrate design system components into the development process.
• Continuously refine and evolve the design system based on user feedback and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Design Human-Computer Interaction or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing user interfaces and experiences for web applications.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma and use of any AI-based tools.
• Great understanding of usability principles user-centered design methodologies and accessibility standards.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design ideas and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good technical understanding of web standards modern front-end frameworks (vue react etc) and especially css (including experience using frameworks such as tailwind bootstrap etc)
• Experience with user research methodologies and a data-driven approach to design.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in email marketing or SaaS product design is a plus.
