Legal Litigation Secretary

Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP (SBE) is looking for an experienced full-time on-site Legal Litigation Secretary for our Claremont CA SBE we lead the nation in protecting policy holders from insurance companies refusal to pay firm has been protecting the rights of insurance consumers both individuals and businesses for 50 years after having set the legal precedent requiring insurance companies to act in good a team with purpose!

Our Legal Secretaries enhance attorney effectiveness by assisting in taking a case from inception through trial. You will be responsible for calendaring dates and deadlines filings in federal state and appellate courts document preparation and more.

$75K - $85K

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years Legal Secretary/Assistant experience 3 years litigation experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with Appellate Courts a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient with office equipment.
• Experience with TrialWorks a plus.
• Knowledge of calendaring case related deadlines.
• Understanding of state federal and appellate civil procedure local rules and statutes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Works well in a team environment or independently.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Demonstrates good judgment discretion and a proactive work ethic.
• Comfortable and professional in working with clients.
• Legal research experience a plus.

We are looking for a professional and organized individual who has experience supporting a litigation team within a law firm. If you have a real passion for the legal field this may be the Legal Secretary role for you.

We offer a competitive benefits package including health insurance paid vacation holidays sick time and 401(k). The salary range for this position is $75K to $85K.

Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience.
