THE ROLE - DRIVER

The PAR Group is looking for a candidate with a good driving record and a can-do attitude to drive load and unload trucks to our various job sites in and around New York City.

OVERVIEW - DRIVER

Job Title: Driver

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Supply Chain

Direct Reports: None

Location: Lynbrook NY

FLSA Category: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $21-$23/hour

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES - DRIVER

Working Hours: 5am to 1pm (subject to change)
Drive Company-owned and operated vehicles for the purpose of delivering materials and supplies to various job sites throughout the five boroughs
Assist in loading and unloading trucks
Assist in the pickup and transfer of important documents
Reading work orders shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed and/or shipped
Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
Assisting in counting of physical inventory
Additional duties may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS - DRIVER

Highschool diploma or GED
Clean driving record
Knowledge and familiarity of surrounding boroughs and local routes
Reliable trustworthy and punctual
Ability to work and adapt to changes in schedule
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - DRIVER

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
