A Director of Risk Management and Qualitywho excels in this role:
Develops and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations including patient care delivery information technologies service level determination and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g. HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
Manages the work of others including planning assigning scheduling and reviewing work ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring terminating training and developing reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
This position serves both internal co-workers and external customers clients patients contractors and vendors. You will have access to and/or work with sensitive and/or confidential information.
What were looking for
Applicants should have a Masters degree in a health related field (preferred or a Bachelors degree in a health related field with equivalent in a psychiatric hospital. Additional requirements include:
Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility with direct experience working with chemical dependency dual diagnosis psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
CPR and De-escalation Training within 30 days
If applicable unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing
