How youll contribute

A Director of Risk Management and Qualitywho excels in this role:

  • Directs the departments activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

  • Develops and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations including patient care delivery information technologies service level determination and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

  • Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

  • Prepares monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

  • Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g. HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

  • Manages the work of others including planning assigning scheduling and reviewing work ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring terminating training and developing reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

  • This position serves both internal co-workers and external customers clients patients contractors and vendors. You will have access to and/or work with sensitive and/or confidential information.

What were looking for
Applicants should have a Masters degree in a health related field (preferred or a Bachelors degree in a health related field with equivalent in a psychiatric hospital. Additional requirements include:

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility with direct experience working with chemical dependency dual diagnosis psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.

  • CPR and De-escalation Training within 30 days

  • If applicable unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing
