Job Summary

Your Opportunity

Our SAP Capability team is growing nationally and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced person to lead our Supply Chain Management (SCM) practice. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for managing and delivering projects serving as the principal solution architect for SCM solutions and supervising a team of SAP functional consultants. The position requires technical knowledge strategic planning and leadership skills to deliver solutions in a dynamic environment. The role will also involve communication with senior internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role by:

  • Practise Development: Actively contribute to the development of the SAP practise including pre-sales activities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a growing team of SAP analysts and functional consultants assigning tasks managing capacity providing guidance and fostering a collaborative high-performing team culture.
  • Project Leadership: Manage SAP SCM-related projects including new implementations upgrades rollouts and system enhancements ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Solution Design & Configuration: As the principal SCM solution architect you will oversee the integrity and excellence of proposed solutions; lead the configuration customization and enhancement of high quality SAP solutions to meet client needs.
  • Business Process Optimization: Partner with cross-functional teams to analyse existing processes identify gaps and recommend best practices using SAP capabilities to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of SAP SM solutions with other modules (e.g. FI CO EAM) and external systems maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between SCM business units and IT translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for SAP SCM issues and system troubleshooting.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop training materials conduct user training sessions and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations processes and procedures.
  • Innovation:  Stay updated on SAP advancements (e.g. SAP Joule) and recommend upgrades or new functionalities to enhance financial operations.

To be considered for this opportunity your qualifications skills & experience could include: 

  • A minimum of 15 years experience in SAP SCM implementations in a consulting or similar external client facing role.
  • Extensive experience delivering and designing SAP solutions 
  • Deep functional experience of SAP S/4HANA SCM such as:
    • Supply Chain Planning
    • Procurement
    • Manufacturing
    • Supply Chain Logistics
  • A solid understanding of the cross-functional requirements to ensure excellence in project and solution delivery
  • A solid understanding of core financial processes and the implementation of best practice solutions in the SAP SCM space
  • Track record of leading high-performing teams

Qualifications :

  • Tertiary qualification (masters or bachelors degree) in a relevant field.
  • Current SAP Certifications that include SAP Architecture
  • ToGAF certified
