About this role:
This position is for a z/OS system programmer manager who isresponsible for overseeing a team of z/OS system programmers who are tasked with maintaining and supporting the stability performance and security of IBM mainframe operating leadership role involves managing system upgrades automation and ensuring that the mainframe environment meets service level manager also handles resource planning team development and collaborates with other IT departments and vendors.
Key responsibilities
Team leadership:Manage a team of system programmers overseeing their technical workload development and performance.
Strategic planning:Guide the long-term strategy for the z/OS environment including planning forsystem upgrades hardware configurations and communications.
Technical oversight: Ensure the team handles critical tasks such as installation customization andmaintenance of the z/OS operating system and related software.
Automation: Oversee the teams efforts in automation processes to manage the MVS infrastructure.
Vendor and stakeholder management:Act as a liaison with software and hardware vendors for support and issue resolution and work with other IT departments to meet business needs.
Problem-solving:Guide the team in resolving complex technical issues and implementing solutions for system problems.

This position is intended to be onsite now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position and relocation would be at your expense. This position must bewithin a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham AL Atlanta GA or Charlotte NC.
