About the Role

Were looking for a skilled AI Engineer to help us develop and launch intelligent agent technology for workplace wellness and employee support. At Woliba were building the next generation of tools that empower HR leaders employees and organizations to create healthier more engaged work cultures.

In this role youll lead the design and integration of language models vector databases and API-driven tools that power AI assistants focused on enhancing employee experience. Youll work alongside a cross-functional team to turn complex data into dynamic conversational experiences securely at scale and with impact.

What Youll Do

• Build and deploy backend services that support AI-powered agents using tools like GPT-4 Claude and orchestration frameworks.
  
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems using tools like LangChain LlamaIndex or similar.
  
• Integrate vector databases (e.g. Pinecone Weaviate Qdrant) for document search and long-term memory.
  
• Collaborate with frontend (React) and backend (Laravel/PHP) teams by exposing secure scalable APIs.
  
• Deploy and manage services using AWS infrastructure (Lambda API Gateway S3 RDS IAM).
  
• Ensure strong data security and user role permissions throughout the system.
  
• Continuously optimize performance reliability and safety of AI features.

What You Bring

• 36 years of engineering experience with strong skills in Python (FastAPI) or .
  
• Familiarity with large language models via APIs (e.g. OpenAI Anthropic).
  
• Experience using LangChain LlamaIndex or similar for building AI workflows and agents.
  
• Hands-on knowledge of vector search and embeddings ideally with Pinecone or comparable tools.
  
• Strong understanding of AWS services and security practices.
  
• A user- and data-conscious mindset when building conversational tools.
  
• Comfort working in cross-functional teams across product design and infrastructure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenAI function calling or multi-step AI agents.
  
• Prior work with conversational UX or enterprise chatbot development.
  
• Knowledge of AI safety RAG tuning or metrics evaluation frameworks.
  
• Familiarity with recognition wellbeing or HR tech domains.
