About the Role
Reporting to the Director Clinical CASA Classrooms the Program Manager provides oversight leadership and management to the program. The Program Manager works within a collaborative leadership model and provides operational direction and service delivery leadership: Including performance management mentorship of staff budget management staff education and training evaluation and quality improvement. The Program Manager will liaise with community organizations to enhance partnerships and develop mutual goals.

The Program Manager will:
  • Oversee a collaborative leadership model providing leadership and direction to both the Program Education Lead and Program Supervisor to support the development and implementation of high functioning clinical and educational teams within a school environment.
  • Effectively allocate personnel and operations budgets including travel and transportation allocations
  • Model develop and promote effective collaborative communication within and between teams to promote a safe respectful and trusting workplace culture.
  • Organize and participate in external community meetings and public engagements representing CASA including presentations at events/meetings attending exhibits and speaking with community at large.
  • Promote a culture of growth and development of Classroom staff providing leadership guidance and support to program clinical and educational staff
  • Initiate and lead recruitment cycle including interviewing and hiring and supporting onboarding off boarding and termination.
  • Review of performance objectives and conduct annual performance reviews to monitor achievement in collaboration with Program Supervisor and Educational Lead
  • Collaborate with CASA Classrooms Leadership Team to identify service delivery improvements and enhancements with the lens of evidence informed practice and CASA strategic and operational plans.
  • Participate in provincial evaluation framework development for CASA Classrooms
  • Model and encourages effective communication within and between CASA and School Division teams to promote a safe respectful and trusting workplace culture.

  • Commitment to quality improvement processes by using enhanced skills in program design and evaluation.
  • Ability to identify barriers demonstrate analytic and problem-solving ability and facilitate solution development.
  • Ability to work autonomously independently and to prioritize work activities as well as within a team to achieve objectives
  • Appreciation and flexibility of interprofessional approach to mental health issues K-12 education environments and community mental health nursing practices.
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to new or unexpected situations analytic and problem-solving ability and flexibility in approach to interpersonal situations.
  • Collaborate and build consensus across internal and external programs and services with a commitment to quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent organizational interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Valid drivers license and access to a reliable between CASA classrooms within geographical areas and to CASA organizational days as may work out of multiple locations.
  • Remote work arrangement

Qualifications & Experience
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in a relevant health discipline (e.g. psychology social work occupational therapy nursing etc.) from an accredited institution required.
  • Must maintain registration with the Health Professions Act for the appropriate health discipline in certain situations a national registration may be acceptable.
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
  • A minimum of 2 years clinical leadership in a mental health setting.

Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) or Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) training as well asphysical ability to perform all interventions.
