Payroll Officer



The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to support lean efficient payroll operations across the hub ensuring compliance and accuracy. This role involves maintaining MyHR payroll master data employee records and monthly payroll while assisting the Hub Payroll Consultant in delivering seamless payroll services and driving continuous process improvement.

Accountabilities:

Relationship & stakeholder management

  • Collaborate with the People function to ensure a smooth and seamless employee experience across payroll operations.
  • Manage payroll-related queries by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders resolving issues promptly and customer-centrically within agreed service levels.

Data management

  • Ensure MyHR and payroll software data is accurate regularly updated and reflected in monthly dashboards.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and reports for stakeholders supporting data reviews across multiple countries.
  • Assist in reviewing employee data for payroll runs escalating discrepancies to the Line Manager as needed.

Records Management

  • Maintain accurate filing of payroll documents verify vendor reports and support audits as needed.
  • Ensure payroll records are archived or destroyed in line with country-specific data protection policies.
  • Assist in setting up and adhering to the annual payroll calendar coordinating inputs from internal teams and vendors.

Professional services expertise

  • Support regional payroll strategy by reviewing delivery models for compliance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with manual payroll calculations statutory payments and final settlements for leavers.
  • Ensure timely distribution of payslips and consolidation of payroll reports with proper approvals.
  • Prepare payroll-related journals and accruals and support overtime and reimbursement processes.
  • Manage timely processing of purchase requests and orders for HR vendor payments ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Teamwork

  • Proactively support and offer help to other team members when their workload requires additional support.
  • Show flexibility in delivering activities that are not strictly in this role scope.

Role specific knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Experience of working with multiple datasets and confidential employee information
  • Experience of delivering payroll operations processes and practices.
  • Proven ability in solving process and technical issues.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of automation in payroll
  • Expertise/Experience of payroll operations across several countries in the region including operation of tools processes and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative
  • Has worked in a multinational organization with varied cultures and nationalities.

Education: Graduate
