Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior ABAP Consultant to join our SAP development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ABAP programming along with hands-on experience in SAP system enhancements custom development and technical support. The role involves collaborating closely with functional teams to deliver effective SAP solutions and ensuring smooth technical execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop test and deploy ABAP programs including reports interfaces forms enhancements and workflows.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop custom SAP solutions by writing efficient and maintainable ABAP code.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ABAP programs and SAP interfaces.
Optimize performance of ABAP reports and programs.
Work collaboratively with functional consultants and business users to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Support SAP module implementations upgrades and rollouts.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Participate in code reviews and follow SAP best practices and standards.
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Strong knowledge of classical ABAP programming and Object-Oriented ABAP.
Experience with SmartForms Adobe Forms SAP Scripts and report programming.
Familiarity with enhancement techniques such as BADIs User Exits and Customer Exits.
Good understanding of interfaces such as IDOCs BAPIs RFC and ALE.
Experience in debugging performance tuning and code optimization.
Exposure to SAP NetWeaver and ECC environments.
Knowledge of SAP modules like MM SD FI or PP is a plus.
Basic understanding of SAP UI5/Fiori is an added advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
