Who You Are: The Physical Plant Technician at Tri County Tech focuses on maintaining and optimizing HVAC units to support a comfortable and safe campus environment. This role involves detailed inspections maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation. With a focus on high standards and problem-solving the technician plays a vital role in supporting the functionality and comfort of campus facilities aligning with the institutions goals for quality and safety across its environments.
What Youll Possess
Qualified Candidates Will:
- Youll possess a High School Diploma. Associates Degree or Technology Center Certificate preferred.
- Youll possess five years of work experience andor vocational training in HVAC repair maintenance and diagnosis with emphasis on boilers and chillers.
- Youll have familiarity with electricity carpentry plumbing and OSHA safety rules and regulations and procedures including proper use and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Youll possess or be willing to obtain a Fork Lift Certification.
- Youll possess or be willing to obtain a Bus Driver Certification.
- You are detail-oriented and organized. Youll simultaneously work on several tasks related to all things TCT and manage them with ease.
- Youre a project planner who meets deadlines.
- Youll have excellent customer service. Youre a fanatic about great customer service. Youll exceed expectations and have excellent follow-up skills.
- Youll take the initiative seek out projects and openly accept other duties as assigned.
- Youll have excellent communication skills.
- You thrive on the spark that happens when collaboration leads to innovation and enjoy a team environment.

What Youll Do
Essential Functions:
- Perform installation troubleshooting and general repair and maintenance for HVAC-related systems.
- Experience repairing and maintaining boilers chillers VAVs split systems.
- Coordinate contractors to perform major repairs on HVAC systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of plumbing systems including unclogging drains repair and replacement of fixtures and repair of leaks in water supply and sanitary drains.
- Assist with general maintenance of campus both exterior and interior.
- Other Job-Related Duties as Assigned by the Supervisor: The omission of duties does not exclude it from the position if similar related or a logical assignment to the other words youll be helping out on spontaneous projects and opportunities not listed above.
Physical Requirements: Frequent climbing standing stooping and/or lifting 50lbs
