Job Summary
This is a U.S.-based remote position.The work hours areMonday - Friday 8:30a -5:30p Eastern time.Our Benefits offerings include Medical Dental and Vision Insurance 401k with company match and PTO.
This position has responsibilities that include working with a government contractor; thereforeU.S. citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and manage ELT (Extract Load Transform) pipelines from ERP/SQL sources into BigQuery.
- Administer and optimize Google Cloud Assured Workload FedRAMP environment including Dataflow Data Transfer Service and BigQuery.
- Develop and maintain LookML semantic models to support self-service analytics and conversational analysis in Looker.
- Ensure data quality governance and security across all systems.
- Collaborate with business teams to translate reporting needs into scalable data models.
- Monitor system performance optimize queries and automate workflows.
- Own the full data lifecycle: ingestion transformation semantic modeling and visualization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server).
- Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform tools: BigQuery Dataflow Pub/Sub and Data Transfer Service.
- Experience with Looker and LookML.
- Proficiency in Python or Java for data engineering tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (VPN VPC) for secure data transfers.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to client environment compliance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP data models (VAI ERP preferred).
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and government compliance frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems.
