Instrument Reliability Technician
Job Purpose:
To assist I&E Reliability Engineer in identification of the opportunities to improve I&E equipment reliability and in implementation of those changes through failure analysis data collection as well as through identification of changes to maintenance and operations work practices
Dimensions:
• Works within the Technical department. (I&E)
• Supports I&E Reliability Engineer in achieving his business linked objectives.
• Reports to I&E Reliability Engineer functionally and I&E Superintendent (Technical) administratively.
Operating Environment Framework and Boundaries:
• Willing to relocate to Qatar for 3 – 5 years (with family if married)
• Able to work outside under inclement conditions
• Able to successfully complete assignments with minimal supervision
Required Skills and Experience:
• Diploma in Instrumentation Technology from a recognized institution.
• At least 10 years of “Hands on” experience in on-site Maintenance support of large-scale petrochemical
installations or similar industries.
• Extensive experience on Electronic Filed Instrumentation such as transmitters control valves vibration
transducers on line analyzers flow metering systems etc.
• Experience on Honeywell and Rosemount SMART transducers Valtek Control Valves Bently Nevada
vibration monitoring systems ABB gas chromatographs will be considered an added advantage.
• Experience on Honeywell DCS Triconix ESD system and Modicon /Hima PLCS is preferable.
• Well versed with Hazardous Area classification and selection of equipment.
• Should be capable of developing PM plans/Check Lists and Job instructions in the assigned areas.
• A working knowledge of DCS/PLCS is a must.
• Previous experience on Spares management would be an additional plus.
• Hands on experience on Maintenance Management System such as SAP or Maximo are required.
• Should be a computer literate and capable of working independently with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with National and International codes and standards.
• Should be capable of supervising contractor manpower during project execution.
• Good written and spoken English.
