RPO Recruitments client a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Engineers Representative for a 12-month Labour-Intensive Construction (LIC) bridge project in the Eastern Cape.
The successful candidate will be based on-site and oversee the implementation of bridge works in accordance with LIC standards. This is a 12 month limited duration contract. Accommodation will be provided on site and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site activities ensuring quality assurance accurate quantity tracking and verification.
- Evaluate and approve method statements work programmes and health safety and environmental (HSE) plans.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address and resolve project issues.
- Prepare and manage progress reports payment certificates and project close-out documentation.
Requirements:
- BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering from a recognised South African institution
- Professionally registered with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng
- At least 8 years of relevant post-graduate site experience
- In possession of Labour-Intensive Construction unit standard qualification (NQF Level 7 SAQA-accredited)
- Successfully executed at least two bridge construction projects in a lead/site representative capacity
