MISSION STATEMENT

The Montana Department of Revenue administers almost 40 state taxes property appraisals alcoholic beverage laws cannabis laws and unclaimed property for the state of Montana. The Information Management and Collections Division serves Montana citizens and businesses through processing tax returns refunds and payments timely and accurately integrating improved technology to enhance the user experience increasing electronic filing resolving overdue debt and collection other state debt.

DUTIES

Job Overview:

This position resides in the Information Management and Collections Division of Department of Revenue. Duties include coordinating the ongoing planning process analysis development implementation and monitoring of the unit and divisions activities methods and systems to collect outstanding tax liabilities or data. The incumbent provides consultation technical assistance training and outreach to internal and external users to promote effective program and system operations. This includes overseeing system research enhancement validation readiness and reporting projects. The position resides in the Statewide Collections and Program Planning. The position reports to the Statewide Collections and Program Planning Unit Manager. This position does not supervise other staff.

REMOTE/TELEWORK: This position may be eligible to work from an approved worksite however the successful candidate must be a primary resident of Montana as a condition of employment. This position would be required to report to a Department of Revenue office assigned by the supervisor. Employees must meet and sustain Department of Revenue telework eligibility requirements and supervisors approval to participate in the DOR Telework Program. Fulltime telework is not available.

This position does require you to be in-office.

Training Assignment:This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
