The Experienced Advisor Onboarding Consultant is responsible for leading the onboarding and integration experience for experienced financial advisors and teams joining Thrivent beginning at the point of offer and continuing through the advisors first year ensuring a seamless compliant and high-touch journey that supports long-term success and retention.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a comprehensive experienced advisor onboarding strategy aligned with the companys overall business objectives.
Develop and implement a repeatable scalable integrated onboarding framework for experienced advisors and teams ensuring a high-touch compliant and consistent experience from offer through full integration.
Own the onboarding experience from offer through full integration. Collaborate with cross-functional partnersincluding recruiting compliance operations and Centers of Excellenceand external firms to coordinate onboarding activities such as technology setup registration book transfers training etc.
Partner with a matrixed onboarding team and influence without authority- fostering a culture of accountability operational excellence and alignment with Thrivents purpose and values.
Deliver onboarding resources tools and training programs to accelerate advisor readiness confidence and engagement during their transition period.
Build and maintain relationships with advisors leaders and industry partners. Gathering advisor feedback data and market insights to refine transition processes strengthen advisor retention and inform ongoing strategy and resource development.
Act as the primary point of contact for advisors during onboarding providing strategic guidance dedicated support and issue resolution throughout their full onboarding and integration to Thrivent.
Monitor and report on onboarding performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
Bachelors degree in business finance human resources or a related field.
7 years of experience in the financial services industry with a strong understanding of advisor business models and firm structures (1099 W-2 RIA).
Proven experience leading advisor transitions or onboarding functions within a broker-dealer RIA or hybrid firm.
Strong understanding of the financial services industry including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with candidates advisors and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruiting tools.
Demonstrated ability to achieve recruiting goals and metrics.
Preferred:
Experience leading teams and matrixed relationships.
