As an unarmed security officer youll play a critical role in delivering worry-free protection to the people and places we serve. Whether stationed at a residential neighborhood retail store or office building your presence will provide peace of mind through professionalism visibility and vigilance. Our officers are the frontline ambassadors of our mission: to protect with purpose and represent our values every shift.

Starting Pay: $17.00-18.00 per hour (depending on site and experience) with unlimited long-term earnings potential as part of GCIs Fast-Track Leadership Program.

OBJECTIVES

• Maintain a high-visibility presence to deter crime and reinforce client peace of mind.
• Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to monitor premises secure perimeters and identify safety concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or safety hazards promptly and accurately.
• Provide friendly professional interaction with residents guests employees and the general public.
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures while maintaining GCIs standards of courtesy and respect.
• Write clear detailed incident reports and daily shift logs using GCIs reporting systems.
• Respond to alarms disturbances or incidents with calm sound judgment and professionalism.
• Assist emergency personnel as needed and communicate effectively with law enforcement when required.
• Maintain a clean professional appearance and represent the GCI brand with integrity at all times.
• Stay alert aware and present minimizing distractions while on duty.
• Prepare each post for success by arriving on time following post orders and completing all shift responsibilities.
• Communicate regularly with field supervisors and dispatch to ensure seamless coverage and quick response.
• Participate in ongoing training to build professional skills and prepare for advancement opportunities within GCI.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Prior security military or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

New to security No problem. GCI Security proudly welcomes individuals who are new to the security field. If you dont yet have a security license well guide you through the process and even reimburse your licensing fees during your first three months with the company.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 812 hours per shift).
• Ability to patrol on foot or in a vehicle depending on the post assignment.
• Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and navigate stairs uneven surfaces or outdoor environments as needed.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions including heat cold and rain.
• Must be able to observe and hear accurately to assess environments and respond lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
