General Responsibilities

Under the general direction of an Early Care & Education (ECE) Manager the ECE Operations Coordinator will monitor and oversee program operations at ECE centers.

Salary:
The full range for this position is$62774.40 - $76377.60. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.

Assignment:
This position will work full-time year-round.
A health exam tuberculosis B test proof of Measles Mumps and Rubella immunity and a portable background clearance through the Department of Children Youth and Families are required prior to the start date.

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:

  1. Hire supervise train and evaluate staff.
  2. Provide leadership technical assistance training and monitoring of ECE programs to ensure compliance with performance standards regulations policies & procedures contract deliverables and documentation.
  3. Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts to strengthen center leadership and program operations.
  4. Partner with staffing agency to ensure that staff assignments center schedules and staff-to-child ratios are consistently met including stepping in for emergency coverage when needed.
  5. Facilitate ongoing communication and feedback with Center Directors to support staff morale wellness and a positive center culture.
  6. Support Center Directors in building strong relationships with families and community partners.
  7. Collaborate with leadership to align center operations with broader organizational strategies.
  8. Actively participate in internal and external meetings as needed.
  9. Regularly complete site visits and support center operations and program needs

Other Functions:
  1. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the mission and goals of the ECE program.
  2. Uphold the Vision Values and Commitment to Professionalism of the ECE Department at ESD 112.
  3. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  2. Must have 47 credit hours in early childhood education elementary education family and consumer sciences special education or a related field.
  3. Two years of leadership experience to include program oversight and personnel management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or Elementary Education.
  2. Experience in an Early Learning setting.

Working Conditions/Employment Requirements

Working Conditions:

  1. Travel across Southwest Washington as needed.
  2. Frequent sitting stooping bending and lifting to 30 pounds.
  3. Physical environment may include office setting child care preschool programs or community work sites.
  4. Extended and/or flexible hours as necessary.

Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a portable background check (PBC) and clearance through the Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) prior to working in program.
  2. Tuberculosis test to meet state health requirements.
  3. Health Exam (only for those charging to EHS).
  4. Proof of MMR vaccination or exemption.
  5. Participation in Washingtons State Training and Registry System (STARS) program required.
  6. Valid CPR certification including child/infant within 30 days of hire.
  7. Valid Food Handlers Card required within 30 days of hire.
  8. Completion of HIV/Blood Borne Pathogens training within 30 days of hire.
