Bulfinch Temps is hiring a RN to conduct visits in the home. The main duties of the research nurse are to complete study visits at the participants home including vitals blood draw and urine collection. They will drop off samples at MGH. They will not be on a set schedule but it is anticipated that work will be completed during regular business hours. Please note this role is temporary in nature and not benefits eligible
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator and the Clinical Research Program Manager the Research Study Nurse is responsible and accountable for conducting home study visits to participants enrolled in the research program throughout Eastern Massachusetts mainly in the greater Boston area. This part-time per diem position works closely with the study team including study physician clinical research coordinator and clinical research program manager.
- Travels to participants home to collect vitals blood draws and urine samples in the Greater Boston area
- Communicates directly with participants to schedule the home study visits
- Coordinates with the clinical research coordinator to pick up supplies and drop off samples at MGH
- Answers any questions about the study that the participant has
- Delivers professional nursing care and evaluates patients responses to study protocols
- Provides consultation to primary physicians regarding protocol implementation
- Collaborates with the Principal Investigator regarding progress of study visits and the continuation/ termination of study subjects according to study protocol

The Research Nurse should have the following skills and competencies:
- Ability to forge productive working relationships with patients families staff and co-workers
- Understanding of clinical research methodology and regulations is essential. Experience in clinical trial coordination and study monitoring required.
- Leadership skills and ability to interact well with others take initiative and think independently.
- Excellent communication and organization skills required with attention to detail essential.
- Cardiology knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of hospital systems and competency in MS Office programs such as Word Excel and Outlook.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; new graduates must have a BSN degree.
Must have 3 5 years prior nursing experience; Minimum of 1 - 2 years research-related experience preferred.
