Quality Control Inspector
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector that will perform a wide variety of electro/mechanical inspections of mission critical product in accordance with IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 requirements. Knowledge of wiring and soldering of electro/mechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings manufacturing work instructions and IPC standards. Familiar with AQL Single/Double Sampling Plan use of measurement tools such as Calipers Micrometers Height/Thread gages addition familiar with quality control concepts Mil-Standards practices and procedures.
Our Peerless Instrument facility provides state-of-the-art electronic assemblies systems and software to the US military. Peerless advanced instrumentation and control systems are not only used in Navy propulsion systems but provide sophisticated monitoring systems for industrial applications.
Location: Farmingdale NY
Wage Information: $25.50 - $34.00 Per hour

Your Challenge:
Perform detailed inspections on cable harnesses electro mechanical assemblies in accordance with all IPC Standards and manufacturing work instructions.
Performs detailed inspection on complex electronic equipment in accordance with all imposed IPC and Military workmanship standards.
Perform Incoming inspection on electro/mechanical parts in accordance with engineering drawings and Mil-Standard requirements.
Perform dimensional inspections on raw material in accordance with engineering drawing requirements.
Must be able to independently interpret manufacturing work and quality inspection instructions
Generates product verification documentation in accordance with departmental procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel based software
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Your Expertise:
Knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-620 workmanship standards
Ability to read and interpret assembly detail and parts list drawings.
Experience in defense electronics preferred
Must be familiar with using PC based tools
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain DOD Security clearance
