The Opportunity
This position works out of our St Paul MN location for our Electrophysiology medical device Abbotts Electrophysiology (EP) business were advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As a Quality Engineer youll play a key role in ensuring product excellence by investigating software/hardware-related customer complaints. Your work will directly impact product reliability and customer satisfaction. Youll collaborate closely within a small to medium-sized team and across departments to uncover root causes and drive improvements.
What Youll Work On
Complete investigations for hardware and software customer complaints.
Document investigation results in compliance with complaint handling procedures.
Assess risk using risk management documentation for both reported and confirmed product events.
Analyze complaint data for statistical trends and communicate opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures and investigative protocols to identify root causes.
Work with product development quality engineering software engineering and other departments.
Support fault isolation troubleshooting and root cause analysis during system integration and testing.
Apply modern software/hardware design and development tools and techniques.
Operate under the guidance of senior engineers or managers.
Accountable for meeting deliverable commitments including schedule and quality compliance.
Plan and schedule own work and coordinate with other software engineers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a closely related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Experience with Linux environments.
Preferred
Knowledge of Python or other object-oriented languages.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance.
Experience in medical device or other regulated industries.
