Were looking for a Technical Lead (IC Role) to join our Growth Platforms team the core engine behind Paystones automation and data systems. Youll be a key technical leader driving the architecture performance and scalability of systems that power thousands of customer interactions every day.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on solving complex problems designing scalable systems and mentoring engineers without the distractions of people management.
What Youll Do
- Architect and build scalable distributed systems that power customer automation and growth.
- Drive technical direction across backend and frontend domains ensuring high availability and performance.
- Mentor and elevate other engineers through thoughtful code reviews design discussions and best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Design and Data teams to deliver impactful measurable results.
- Continuously improve our engineering practices from CI/CD to observability and testing frameworks.
What You Bring
- 7 years of professional software engineering experience including deep expertise in system design and scalability.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and plus experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React Vue or Angular).
- Proven experience deploying and maintaining services on GCP AWS or Azure.
- Solid understanding of microservices API design and event-driven architecture.
- Comfortable working with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL Firestore or MongoDB.
- Bonus: exposure to Terraform Kubernetes performance tuning or observability tooling.
