IT Quality Assurance Senior/Specialist (ITQASS/ETS)
We are seeking an IT Quality Assurance Senior testerto support the quality assurance of Health Care Authority Employee and Retiree Benefits (ERB) software systems. The successful candidate will assist in the review and testing delivery of program deliverables using proven project management principles supporting the QA team in established test approaches and techniques. This senior test position works with developers business analysts and program staff to ensure healthy functionality of the critical Benefits 24/7 system used by public and school employees and retirees across the state.

About the division:
The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Division is the agency-designated technology provider for the Health Care Authority (HCA). Strategic Services within ETS delivers enterprise architecture business analysis and project management services to aid in the development of technology solutions that support business goals. Additionally members of this section manage and develop systems (e.g. Benefits 24/7 Pay1) that support Employee and Retirement Benefits (ERB) operations. Strategic Services leverages employee expertise in lifecycle planning for business applications through selection operations refresh migration optimization retirement and disposal.
About the position:
This position is responsible and accountable for ensuring HCAs systems (technology data and business processes) adhere to federal laws regulations and standards WA State program mandates the State OCIOs and HCAs policies and standards and ERB rules and requirements. This QA tester provides accountability for ERB QA activities and ensures test plans align with application strategic goals.
This position is eligible to telework and is also typically required to report on-site once per week. The teams current on-site day is Wednesday.The default assigned work location of all Health Care Authority (HCA) positions both on-site and telework eligible positions is within the State of Washington. This position reports to Olympia WA. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. HCA has currently suspended the ability to support out-of-state telework.
