Job Title: Registered Nurse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Ithaca NY
Start Date: 11/10/2025
Duration: 13 Weeks (or as assigned)
Shift: Nights 12-Hour Shifts (3 shifts per week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at a respected healthcare facility in Ithaca New York. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to infants and mothers within the Maternal Child Health department. This position requires clinical expertise strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to provide family-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality evidence-based nursing care to neonatal and maternal patients.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor assess and document patients physical emotional and psychological needs.
Provide patient and family education regarding postnatal and neonatal care.
Float as needed to the Post-Partum Unit to support patient care delivery.
Adhere to professional standards hospital policies and regulatory requirements (AWONN ACOG NNA AORN).
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (minimum); BSN preferred.
Licensure: Active New York State RN License (required).
Certifications:
Experience: Previous experience in Maternal Child Health or Post-Partum Unit preferred.
