THE ROLE

The Fixed Income Solutions and EMEA Structured Credit Trader will leverage deep knowledge of Fixed Income investment and trading practices to contribute to our strategic fixed income initiatives. This individual will partner with others within trading and across the organization to establish UK structured credit trading capabilities and to strengthen external UK relationships for the benefit of the Fixed Income team. Additionally this individual will partner closely with key stakeholders on strategic fixed income initiatives including with respect to improving the investment teams ability to improve client experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Partner closely with others across the organization to develop MFS trading capabilities technology platforms trading protocols and investment capabilities

• Partner with key stakeholders across the firm on driving strategic fixed income initiatives

• Block and tackle aspects of the Fixed Income investment process including trade execution and related communication with the investment operations and technology teams

• Collaborate with and assist functional teams throughout the firm including operations compliance client services and the broader trading team

• Execute structured credit cash and related derivatives trades as required

• Contribute to other multi-asset trading as part of the London trading team

• Source filter develop and distribute relevant economic and market color as well as trade ideas to the investment team

• Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships for the purpose of delivering on the above responsibilities

• Follow and support MFS policies and procedures including best execution trade allocation and more as required

• Assume additional responsibilities as required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum of 15 years of trading experience

• Passion for and thorough understanding of relevant markets and investments

• Experience with order management systems electronic trading platforms traditional voice trading practices portfolio management tools and related middle office systems and processes

• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills

• Strong organizational and decision-making skills

• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset
