What youll do

Youll be part of a team serving our internal customers by purchasing the goods and services that keep the company running. Youll ensure compliance with our Purchase to Pay process while supporting the business and looking for any improvements to procedures.

Day-to-day youll create purchase orders and liaise with order requestors to ensure goods can be receipted for prompt payment. We are a very busy department managing around 36000 orders per year so theres lots to do.

Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential in this role and you will have the ability to drill down to understand the root cause of a problem work well with other team members and have a desire to embrace change and a culture of continuous improvement.

Comfortable turning your mouse-clicking finger to new computer systems Well get you up to speed.

The not-so-small print

This role will be a Grade 3. If youre new to Scottish Water youll join us on a starting salary of 28830. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of 32850.

We operate Balanced Hybrid working at Scottish Water and we encourage people to work half their time in a Scottish Water location.

Dont worry - well only start these checks once youve accepted an offer.
