Why your role matters

Join a dynamic team as a Future Student Enquiries Officer where youll lead the end-to-end delivery of outbound conversion campaigns to engage future students and support the Universitys student load targets.

In this key role youll design and implement targeted calling campaigns across all coursework cohorts using systems like CRM to accurately capture and manage data. Alongside campaign activity youll provide timely and accurate advice to prospective students their parents high school staff and internal stakeholders interpreting complex degree and admissions policies to respond to a wide range of enquiries via phone web email and live chat. As the first point of escalation for complex enquiries within the Future Student Enquiries team youll be the go-to expert in degree and admissions information.

Youll also analyse consumer trends and behavioural data reporting insights to support strategic decision-making across the Future Student Recruitment team and broader university stakeholders.

This position reports to the Enquiry Team Lead and does not have direct reports.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

  • Manage outbound conversion activity from creation of scripts training of casual ambassadors list management and creation of reporting matrix through telephony and CRM systems.
  • Work independently to execute high volume targeted conversion campaigns utilising recruitment skills to drive applications acceptances and enrolments.
  • Achieve or exceed against set team key performance indicators (KPIs) in the critical success areas of outbound contact success quality response provision minimal abandonment rates turnaround times and lead nurturing in outbound communication activities.
  • Identify interpret and predict current and future prospective student trends in particular those that cause significant concern or prove particularly challenging and opportunities where the University can consider reviewing policies or procedures to improve the prospective student experience.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education training and experience.
  • Proven ability to work in a high volume process driven environment with variable workflow patterns and to fixed deadlines.
  • Experience managing conversion activity through outbound call campaigns and developing reporting matrix desired.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications and databases (e.g. CRM).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and productively as an effective team member to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the tertiary education sector with experience in key source markets is desirable.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSWs aims objectives and values in action together with relevant policies and guidelines.

This role requires on-site work 5 days per week during December and January including availability for some key dates over the Christmas and New Year period.

The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks including a Working with Childrens Check (WWCC).
