Backwall Lead

The backwall lead will assist the supervisor in running backwall/receiving dept to ensure timely unloading of inbound trucks. Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in Start of Shift meeting with exercise and going over select topics provided by Safety
Check/send daily attendance to Ops Manager
Set up the team with work areas
Do coaching/feedback with associates weekly
Review of LMS performance reports on associates
Ensure associates are working safe keeping the work area clean
End of shift reports are filled out and sent VIA email
Communicate with other departments to ensure work is flowing
Run scripts on WCS to determine if drivers need to switch job functions
Delegate manual pull lists to associates
Change batteries for PIT equipment
Ensure department is clean at end of shift
Ensure associates are observing dock safety

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:Maintain constant awareness and concentration concerning travel throughout the DC while operating the Order Picker style Powered Industrial Truck. Our Forklift Drivers are expected to hold the highest level of professionalism and integrity in every action performed and are expected to use good judgement whenever necessary to ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of VF Corp the Dickies Brand and its associates. This person will also have other duties as assigned by the department Supervisor or shift Manager.

How youwill do it:This person will abide by company rules policies and all Standard Operational Procedures and safety guidelines including: Wearing safety harness and steel toed shoes while operating Order Picker style Powered Equipment.

What success looks like:Success is achieved by maximizing time on standard to meet performance levels of 90% or higher. Reliability and predictable good attendance are also key to success in this position.

EducationalPosition Requirements:A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have but we are mostinterested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know:Experience operating Order Picker style Powered Industrial Truck. Ability to read and comprehend instructions on truck mount computer handheld MX7 devices and directives given by department leadership. Must pass Certification Safety Training course and field driving test allowing candidate to operate an Order Picker style Powered Industrial Truck in the DC work area.

Physical Demands:

Stand and/or walk during shift between 8 to 12 hours

Lift push pull and move boxes up to 50 pounds

operation of Order Picker style Powered Industrial Truck
