Rate: $40.00 $42.00/hr.
Schedule: Weekdays 7:30 AM 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Part-Time / Per-Diem
About the Role
Are you a passionate caregiver who loves working with children and their families Sunshine Homecare is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Licensed Practical Nurse to provide one-on-one school-based care.
In this case youll care for a vivacious young boy-energetic engaging and endlessly curious. The school day will fly by! If you believe in compassionate care and enjoy watching children grow wed love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct pediatric care during school hours
Administer prescribed medications treatments and therapies
Monitor and document health status throughout the day
Respond promptly to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions
Assist with devices such as feeding tubes catheters vents and trachs (if needed)
Collaborate with school staff families and healthcare providers
Ensure compliance with the care plan and physicians orders
Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation
Adhere to infection control and safety procedures
Required Experience & Skills:
Hands-on pediatric care experience including:
G-Tube Feeding
Glucose Monitoring & Insulin Coverage
Catheterizations
Nebulizers
Epi-Pen Coverage
Supervision due to Epilepsy
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm in emergencies
Understanding of pediatric disease processes and medication interactions
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited LPN program
Active New York State LPN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience preferred
Current CPR certification
School or community health experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain on school premises for scheduled hours
Assist with student mobility and transfers
Lift/carry 20 lbs. and medical equipment as needed
