The Opportunity

Join a team thats powering the future of energy. At Hitachi Energy were looking for a Mechanical Engineer NPI Transformers to help shape the next generation of high-voltage transformer components. Based in our North America Regional Technology Center this role is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development while collaborating with global teams and supporting our Alamo TN manufacturing site.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Lead the design and development of high-voltage transformer components.
  • Create and validate 3D models drawings and technical documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance simulations for new products.
  • Coordinate prototyping and testing to verify new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering production and sales.
  • Share R&D insights with global teams and support standardization efforts.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends standards and customer needs.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Masters/PhD preferred).
  • 25 years of experience in product development or mechanical design.
  • Proficient in CAD tools (Creo preferred); experience with simulation tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive team-oriented mindset.
  • Permanent work authorization in the U.S.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to Alamo TN if not local.
