The Opportunity
Join a team thats powering the future of energy. At Hitachi Energy were looking for a Mechanical Engineer NPI Transformers to help shape the next generation of high-voltage transformer components. Based in our North America Regional Technology Center this role is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development while collaborating with global teams and supporting our Alamo TN manufacturing site.
Youll be at the forefront of innovationdesigning testing and launching new technologies that enhance performance reliability and sustainability. If youre passionate about engineering excellence thrive in a collaborative environment and want to make a real impact wed love to meet you.
How Youll Make an Impact
- Lead the design and development of high-voltage transformer components.
- Create and validate 3D models drawings and technical documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance simulations for new products.
- Coordinate prototyping and testing to verify new technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering production and sales.
- Share R&D insights with global teams and support standardization efforts.
- Stay ahead of industry trends standards and customer needs.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
Your Background
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Masters/PhD preferred).
- 25 years of experience in product development or mechanical design.
- Proficient in CAD tools (Creo preferred); experience with simulation tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive team-oriented mindset.
- Permanent work authorization in the U.S.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to Alamo TN if not local.
