Colorado State University Pueblo (CSUP) consists of oversquare feet of maintainable building area and over 250 acres of campus space. The objective of Facilities Management is to provide a safe clean and sustainable environment that will enhance and support the mission and academic goals of the University.
The Executive Director of Facilities provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Office of Facilities Management at CSU Pueblo. This role is responsible for planning managing and implementing all programs related to the delivery of facilities services including daily operations across multiple work units budget and resource management staffing collaboration of policy development and project prioritization.
As a key member of the CSU System Facilities Management Team the Director contributes to strategic planning resource allocation and the development of operational standards. This position leads the technical reviews of campus buildings and infrastructure to ensure compliance with CSU System State of Colorado Federal standards and applicable regulations and prepares funding requests for repairs renovations and capital construction projects aligned with institutional and systemwide priorities.
The Executive Director oversees approximately 32 buildings totaling oversquare feet located across 250 acres of grounds and facilities. The role manages 61 personnel through subordinate managers setting performance goals conducting evaluations resolving conflicts and guiding hiring and training processes.
This position functions as a liaison and second-level delegate with the Office of the State Architect (OSA). The Director manages CSU Pueblos controlled maintenance capital construction and equipment replacement programs ensuring alignment with state and institutional guidelines.
In collaboration with the CSU Pueblo State Fleet Manager the Director oversees the maintenance and allocation of equipment and fleet vehicles. The role is also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with standards and requirements from agencies such as the NFPA ADA CDHE EPA and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Additional responsibilities include forecasting and tracking expenditures managing capital assets approving purchases negotiating infrastructure-related agreements developing short- and long-term operational plans determining annual business plans aligned with the universitys mission advising on policy implementation in coordination with the CSU System Office of General Counsel establishing staffing plans and directly supervising divisional operations as a second-level supervisor.
MBA Or Bachelors Degree in one of the following field(s):
Knowledge of State Procurement and NFPA.
Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS)
Facilities Management experience.
Experience managing budgets.
8 years experience managing large work units in a Facilities environment.
