Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and committed SENCO to join our welcoming and ambitious Primary School in Birmingham. This is a permanent role starting November 2025 offering the opportunity to lead and enhance the schools Special Educational Needs provision and make a lasting impact on pupils learning.

  • Working Pattern: Term Time Only
  • Salary: MPS/UPS SENCO Allowance (dependent on experience)
  • Suitable for: Experienced SENCOs or aspiring leaders with SEND expertise

About the Role

As an experienced and proactive SENCO you will lead on identifying and supporting pupils with additional needs ensuring high-quality provision across the school. The successful candidate will embrace the responsibilities of a SENCO working closely with colleagues parents and external agencies to maximise pupil outcomes and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the schools SEN provision as a SENCO
  • Support and challenge pupils with additional needs
  • Advise and guide staff on inclusive teaching strategies as a SENCO
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues parents and external professionals
  • Contribute to the schools ethos of high expectations achievement and care

  • Hold QTS and relevant SENCO qualification (or are working towards)
  • Are knowledgeable proactive and reflective as a SENCO
