A meaningful internship where youll be part of an international work environment and a team passionate about improving maternal and newborn health. This internship offers valuable insights into how an international NGO operates with a specific focus on business development and external relations.
Throughout your internship you will actively contribute to key business development functions including identifying fundraising opportunities writing status updates for donors and supporting events to raise awareness. With guidance and support you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own tasks and projects gain hands-on experience in project management and self-leadership and develop essential workplace skills. Your Role
You will work closely with the Business Development Managers assisting with daily operations while also engaging in longer-term projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of business development processes and tools.
- Developing fundraising applications and status reports to donors.
- Conducting research on current trends and mapping fundraising opportunities.
- Writing proposals and status reports for donors.
- Supporting event organization to raise funds and build partnerships.
- Preparing presentations designing layouts developing content and other communication related tasks.
This internship is flexible within standard working hours from 9:00 to 17:00 and the option to work remotely up to two days a week or upon agreement. You will have regular weekly check-ins with your supervisor to support your learning and professional development.
Who You Are
We are looking for a proactive person with a teamwork and go-for-it attitude who is willing to learn. You are required to be a Bachelors or Masters student whose internship is integrated into their academic program. Ideally you have a background in Business Development or similar fields with a strong interest in building not-for-profit external relations. As this is an unpaid position applicants should be receiving financial support from a third party (e.g. SU/CSN/Erasmus Stipendium or another student funding source).

Maternity Foundation (MF) is an international NGO organisation that works to ensure safer births for women and newborns through innovative programs and digital 2025 MF will accelerate the impact of the Safe Delivery Programme a comprehensive evidence based micro-learning universe with the Safe Delivery App a free evidence-based job aid learning and training tool designed to support predominantly midwives at the centre. The programme is aimed at holistically addressing maternal and newborn healthcare challenges through a multitude of activities including a new flagship initiative to be launched in 2025. The Safe Delivery Programme takes a lighthouse approach where exemplary cutting-edge practices and solutions using the Safe Delivery Programme act as frontrunners for innovative change which other countries can subsequently follow.
