- Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
- Shift: 10-hour Day Monday Friday 7:30 AM 5:00 PM
- Job Type: Permanent
- Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
- Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist under general supervision assists physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the room and equipment instructing patients monitoring patient conditions and providing routine and emergency care during procedures. The role also contributes to the orientation and training of team members and supports quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
- Prepare and maintain lab equipment and procedural rooms.
- Instruct and prepare patients for procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Contribute to the orientation and training of new team members.
- Participate in daily monthly and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Associates degree or graduate of an accredited Radiology or RCIS program.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience highly preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
- ACLS: Must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- BLS: Must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- Must meet one of the following registry requirements:
- ARRT-R Radiography and MRT through TX
- Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS)
