A leading civil and vertical construction organization providing services in infrastructure improvement heavy civil construction vertical construction and site development for government state and private projects across the United States.
Position Summary
The Project Manager Construction is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. This role plays a key part in ensuring successful execution safety and quality across all phases of the project. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills in-depth knowledge of construction processes and a proven ability to manage resources budgets and schedules effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise all project activities including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations codes and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals scope and deliverables.
- Manage project resources including labor equipment and materials.
- Conduct regular meetings and communicate project status with stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
- Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and present project reports and documentation for management.
- Support technical writing bidding and proposal preparation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities including military bases.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Customer service and client management skills.
- Travel
- Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
