Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) provides skilled nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role involves patient assessment medication administration and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN must be capable of floating within their scope of practice to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the PACU.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- NIH certification.
- PALS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU RN experience in an acute care facility.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Locals preferred (must live within 75 miles of the facility).
Special Considerations:

- Mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facilitys discretion.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend/2 weekends per month.
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue not provided.
Scheduling:

- 4x10s 8a-630p shift.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- No block scheduling.
