Job Title: Registered Nurse Pediatric Critical Care (PICU / Pediatric PACU)

Job Description
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a Pediatric Recovery Room (Pre-Op / Post-Op / PACU) supporting pediatric surgical and critical care patients. This position is local rate only.
Candidates must have prior pediatric critical care experience; PACU experience is preferred. The role requires the ability to function independently in a high-acuity pediatric environment with minimal orientation.
The schedule consists of 8 ten-hour shifts every two weeks with both day and evening shifts scheduled within the same pay period. Weekend coverage is required.
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records and work in large hospitals or trauma centers is preferred.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New York
BLS certification (must be current and eligible for recertification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent pediatric acute or critical care experience (within the past 2 years)
Candidates must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
Prior pediatric critical care experience required
PACU experience preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance drug screening and criminal background check
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in a pediatric critical care or PACU setting
Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing care to pediatric patients
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision
Collaborate effectively with pediatric physicians anesthesiology and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain compliance with hospital policies procedures and patient safety standards
