Job Summary

Job Title	FWS -Energy Student Assistant
Salary	Classification Range $16.50 - $24.00 per hour Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications not to exceed $16.50.
Department	Physical Plant Admin
Work Schedule	M - F 8:00 - 5:00pm
Job Summary	Under direct supervision of the Energy and Resiliency Manager the Energy Student Assistant assists the Utility & Energy Analyst with data collection and entry. This position will also assist staff with marketing publicity preparation of events. Finally this position assists staff with outreach events and social media. NOTE: Position is scheduled to start next year - January 2026. Job Duties: General office support i.e. Copying & filing & scanning field surveys of campus equipment classrooms projects & other locations Assistance & data reports using Power Management Expert (PME) and EnergyCAP energy accounting and management system. Assistance with sustainability events Assistance with gathering and entering data for the STARS report Support with marketing and publicizing all aspects of sustainability on campus Occasionally operate small carts & assist with transportation & pick up of staff & materials around campus Other duties as assigned General Qualifications: Data entry and computer skills Must be detail oriented Knowledge of general office equipment and methods Valid CA Drivers License FWS Award is required Preferred Qualifications: Energy and sustainability experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications	General Qualifications: Data entry and computer skills Must be detail oriented Knowledge of general office equipment and methods Valid CA Drivers License FWS Award is required Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications	Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student. Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated) or who is registered for the subsequent semester. In good academic standing (not on academic probation continued probation academic dismissal). Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
License/Certifications	A valid California drivers license.
Background Check	A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
