We currently have a need for an Geologist/Environmental Scientist in our Brooklyn NY Office.

Recently Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI) the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger more efficient and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC Long Island Buffalo Rochester Boston and Metro Park NJ.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of ASTM-compliant Phase I / II ESAs
- Site Investigations
- Drilling/excavating contractor oversight soil/groundwater/soil vapor sample collection
- Soil logging/geologic formation
- Soil sampling at various NYC agency sites
- Use of field equipment (PID meters Horibas/water pumps etc.)
- Oversight of GW monitoring well installations
- Construction activities oversight including excavations monitoring well installations UST investigations/closures etc.
- CAMP implementation and work zone monitoring
- Field activity report writing
- Assist project PMs with preparation of various summary reports and documents
- 8 hour shift
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Geology Engineering or related field
- 1-2 years experience (entry level candidates will also be considered)
- Must have a valid Drivers license and car (needed for field work)
- Self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions reliable detail oriented and a team player.
- Strong communication skills required

- Compensation: Minimum:$50000; Maximum: $60000.The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
